on the group get to go on line from the hospital.I've seen that! It's pretty awesome to think the person is in
hospital while you're "talking" to them, I think it's a great way to
keep people mentally occupied.
Well when I go in the hospital it's for major surgery so I probably wouldn't
make much sense with the pain pump! 🙂 But one person got on our group from
the hospital who was really out of it due to meds but I think all of us
still helped him, at least he remember some of the love and support we sent
and fortunately he didn't lose his colon. (He has Ulcerated colitis so the
loss of the colon would cure him but he's not ready and he's still young and
scared which is totally understandable.)

still a little frustrating!I know what you mean: I know I don't get any better lying in bed
when I'm not feeling my best but with strict rules I think it'd be
nice for those times when I'm in pain and a book or the tv is too
hard to focus on... I'd probably end up just playing patience when
I'm like that though! 😉
I can go on line when in a flare but he does watch the clock when I am home
and kicks me off my computer! But my warden, I teasingly call him this,
also will fix dinner and so everything so that I don't have to. He takes
such good care of me as does the rest of the family, I am a lucky woman to
have loving family.

there for you when needed. There are a couple others I would like
to get together with but they are further north and I don't travel
well. UM MOM SusanThe only local support group I've been to has been the ADHD one but
I might look into a local fibro group to get some more local advice.
It could turn into a logistical nightmare since we don't own a car
and public transport is less than efficient and comfortable... plus
I've also got panic disorder which can make travel er- *interesting*
in itself, still it might be worth looking into again.
I've never been to a local support group, I don't have one near enough to me
unfortunately. I met my friends at a IHOP and had my son with me to make
sure I would be safe. We were in the restaurant for four hours at least,
boy was the waitress upset until she saw the tip we left! I wish I could go
to a support group. My friend north of me goes and she says it is so nice
but it's over two hours away and I don't drive that far.

The online groups do help in that most will understand what you're
going through, in real life people often just can't understand.
I go to one on line newsgroup for crohn's and I also go to another website
set up for support that has a small group of us but we have gotten so close
that we are almost family, plus I have to admit I enjoy talking and learning
the different ways we say things, the UK and US are really different in the
terminology but I guess you already know that. If you would like, why don't
we take this to email? I bet we are boring and making people mad already.
Sorry everyone! UM MOM Susan
