Only in the sense that the VCR can watch by proxy for you and you don't have to watch it yourself. I
made the mistake of watching it when it was originally shown. A British version of those dreadful
made for TV disaster movies heavy on emotion and implausible coincidences.

YMMV. Your description is entirely accurate, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Anyway, implausible coincidences *can* happen and with our crumbling transport system [1] I thought
the consideration of a worst case scenario was timely.

[1] Not really relevant, but mildly amusing. The railway line between Bristol and Bath runs through
a cutting in the village where I work. In April 2002, a landslide made the line impassible.
Railway engineers then spent 18 months shoring up the banks, finishing last October. This was an
inconvenience for me, as the work required the temporary closure of part of a network of
footpaths that I frequently use at lunchtime.

I was using these footpaths yesterday and I noticed that there'd been another landslide, in exactly
the same place as the last one.
