Sorry for OT But:
Looking for a travel bag for carry on luggage, less than 10k loaded for
Ryanair. Considering a Vango Planet Transit.
Does anybody have one and can recommend or toherwise
Can anybody suggest where to get one - most links on their site are to shops
that dont stock
Any othert suggestions
Google found this:
http://www.outdoorgarage.com/acatalog/copy_of_Planet_Transit.html
and other stockists.
But note that it technically does not fit the dimensions stated by
Ryanair because it is 4 cm fatter. So if you do get one don't stuff it
full! Also it weighs 2.75kg which eats into your 10kg.
I have done a lot of work related air travel and use a cloth Pilot case
which fits perfectly, weighs under 2kg and is accepted by airline staff
without argument.
It is similar to this:
item_id.254.dept.180.dept_l2.0.dept_l3.0/>
I also have a Tatonka Flightcase which I use if I really need rucksack
straps. Like the Vango it is designed for carry on luggage but unlike
the Vango it doesn't have a wheeled base and extending handle. It weighs
1.6kg but is not as convenient for getting stuff in an out as the Pilot
case while on the move. It is however better as an overnight bag.
It is the 9th item down this page:
http://www.safariquip.co.uk/acatalog/Travel_Luggage.html
I got mine from the Safariquip shop in Castleton and found the staff
very helpful.
