Someone will probably tell me that I'm wrong, but my understanding is that
the jury finds you either guilty or not guilty of the charge(s) *beyond a
reasonable doubt*. One might actually be guilty, but if the jury finds
reasonable doubt in the evidence, then you would be found not guilty. To
my knowledge, there is absolutely no verdict of "innocent", nor is
innocence nessarily explicit or implicit in a verdict of not guilty. They
are not the same.
