I have a (grantedly inexpensive) set of brass fireplace tools. The handles keep wanting to unscrew from the tops of the rods to which they are attached. I'm getting tired of (ahem) screwing with them. Is there any sort of glue I can buy which would be (a) non-flammable, not that the handles get INTO the fire and (b) would securely hold metal against metal?
Is there some other place I should inquire about fireplace tools? Please don't suggest I buy new, more expensive ones; they work perfectly fine except for this minor annoyance. And it *is* minor. Thanks!

Go to your local hardware or industrial supply store and ask for Loctite thread locking compound.
