    How about that weak bio?

"Page was a member of the 1960s band The Yardbirds before helping to
    set up Led Zeppelin."

That's like saying "The Beatles were from Liverpool and played music".

The media is so geared towards the imbeciles of this World. It's a
true short attention span theatre out there.

Led Zep, still my favorite all-around band - metal,
rock, pop, folk, country, middle-eastern, jazz, funk,
oh yeah, blues. I wonder why not many does that
nowadays. I like a lot of the new stuff too but I
don't hear an all-around band like them.

To answer your question, I think it's not what the general public (or
record companies' impressions of the general public) wants. There are
some musicians doing a little of everything, but they aren't usually
    popular or mainstream.

Check out the Eric McFadden Trio sometime (preferably live). He does a
bit of everything and definitely has some chops.
