And I can't think of a better place to get "hammered" than prison...
wouldn't even be able to fight back when you get gang raped.

What an amazing er... ah what the heck?!

I wouldn't try it now but I would have been dumb enough to when I was
    younger.

    What an idiot...

    LOL!
Tried it once at home with mash and copper tubing and a few plumbing
supplies I found lying around in my Dad's shed. Used a jury-rigged garden
hose to cool the coils. Set up the little fire on the BBQ fire out the back
of the house. Was watching the cartoons on the tellie when I heard "Boom!"
and went out to find the top had blown off my still and I had warm mash all
over the backyard. Discovered later that the copper tubing was blocked with
god knows what. It'd been sitting in the shed for years. There ends
    homemade experiment number one.

At Boarding School we had our own detached 'barracks' you'd call it for want
of a better word. Lent itself to getting up to a certain amount of mischief
without getting caught all the time. Grape vines grew along the back fence
of the property. Half gallon glass jars. Brewers yeast etc. Noone told us
you had to release the pressure. Three am "Boom!" virtually the whole lot
exploded in the cupboards. Emergency mopping up and liberally applied
talcum powder and Brut 33 to disguise the smell. Didn't work. The whole
5th form block almost got suspended over that one. :-)
