That was on McNeil Lehr or maybe the Charlie Rose show
two nights ago also...several in depth interviews on what was
going on. Unfortunately it fits with the utterly bogus
Homeland Security measures the admistration tried to
impliment, some found unconstitional and reversed by the
supreme court a month or so ago.
Its a little hard to fathom though that this could be
going on in America.
I saw the 'Captain America' film tonite (or similar
title) its just out... a clay animation cartoon type movie
directly on these issues in the most vulgar, penetrating ....
terms.. with one real ugly Korean.. I recommend the movie.
It could be seen as GWB support or a ludicrous parody of
GWB...but also trashes liberals.. it may be non partisan
accurate portrayal of the mess, or not. ... ballsy though.
Im currently consulting for a company that chose to use
idiots to run a small 20k pipe job...and chose to ignore my
advice..now the thing is leaking and they have to fix the
leaks over new hardwood floors (huge sales area)...its a hair
tearing out mess... they over rode me decisions each step of
the way...told their crew of morons to run the pipe at odd
angles to save fittings (3 dollars each, saved 30 bucks)..
now they have a mess. Just some heart burn that tends to
drive off good staff.. they will still make the planned money
on the job though... they were trying to make an extra 5k...
so now tomorrow they get to go in over the new hardwood floors
and cut water lines and catch the water gushing out so the
floor doesnt get wet..then take all kinds of strange and
elaborate measures to get the pipe dry inside...and refit the
leaking sections.
Idiocy creates 100 times as much trouble as it ever gains in
the end, and the heartburn is off the top... but nobody will
die... the company will loose some more good men..and be left
with utter idiots..including its owner who makes these
ruthlessly dumb ass decisions.. its a week of [censored] to put up
with.
Fighting muslim guerilla's has traditionally gone on for
centuries...so we invaded Iraq then randomly arrested
civilians if they were anywhere near Bagdad, then at our CIA's
direction (currently being covered up but not real well) our
GI's are encouraged to sink to scum levels and *ruthlessly
sexually abuse the prisoners with a mind to ruining them
spiritually?
Now that you see is a *real problem. these people will
be handing us the heads of our people at will for a long time
now.... and regardless of GWB's macho.
The combination of arrogance and a lack of utter brilliance
goes south badly every time, regardless ones stated or actual
motives or intent. If you do it wrong its going to cost big
time....and the heart burn will be severe.
I will not try to talk to my client about his issues any
further... I will not be there sacrificing my nervous system
to help them fix thier disaster. I will stand off and point
out...'ah you have leaks, be sure not to get the floor wet'
(that would cost them 20,000 dollars or so.
After a time the pattern is clear... one must boogie on and do
business elsewhere, ever vigilant for idiots...especially
macho arrogant idiots.. these force thier error on entire
systems and the damage can be devastating... the heart burn
endless. The costs almost limitless.
For various reasons, in 1995 I was deposed for testimony
before congress on corruption issues at our nuclear weapons
plants.. 2 hours or so...and they asked me why I spoke up in
the first place and stunningly asked me 'whats in it for
you'... amazing some of these people.
I told them that if allow criminally insane management and the
gentle folk from our CIA to force engineers to do and condone
the utterly reprehensible (such as pumping high level nuclear
waste into dry wells that leached to the 100 mile long aquafer
under cincinatti (for one example)... by that we are
destroying the integrity of our engineers..and with no
integrity we get bad decisions and in the end a collapse of
entire systems.
In 1998 at Hanford they sent an idiot to check the level of
*high level radio active sludge in a million gallon tank
(like the one that went critical in Russia contaminating north
western europe)... he used a rope with a rock tied to one end,
lowered it full depth into the tank, then came back to the
engineering office and laid this totally radio active mess on
his desk.
He will have now a much forshortened life, as will those who
were in the vicinity at the time...the clean up will cost tens
of millions. (Hanford Nuclear Weapons site is in eastern
Washington State).
Such is the nature of corruption... it takes out its host.
If Kerry were on the other side of the mess he would be
raising a wide range of issues that he is not raising.... he
is clammed up too.
The influence comes from elsewhere... its corrupt.. its
special interests, and its related closely to the expose in
the late 90's of the CIA running hundreds of tons of cocain
into the US on USAF and CIA C-130's ..landing at Edwards AFB
and selling the drugs to gang members on the streets of LA....
how do we know that?
Ollie North admitted it in his testimony before congress, LA
cops and USAF officers testified accordingly...then Ollie
elaborated...'we needed the money....'
Sworn testimony...it made a '60 minutes' special... you can
order the tape.
Amazin' ain't it? So our kiddies in LA, Chicago, NYC and
Podunk Idaho were snorting CIA cocain... thats just great for
the nations future of course... they get to flunk out of math
class that way.
