I must admit I get p'd off at 'freebies' that you can only
get if you pay some money for something else. It aint free
and they should be emasculated by the Trades Description Act
for claiming that it is.

Buy One Get One Free ? Buy two at a good price. The second
one aint free.

Well,and I am not defending the OS here,the fact that under normal
circumstances there would be postage to pay and no binoculars makes it a
reasonable proposition.

I wanted the maps anyway ( I ordered three ),if I had gone into Smiths or
somewhere similar I would have paid the same price with no binoculars and it
would have cost me,in time if nothing else,to do it.

I agree that there is no such thing as a free lunch and the profits from the
OS,which comes from the selling of maps,is something to which we all
contribute and this pays for the freebie.
