Don't know if this fits. Get to Perth by September 27 - arrive Melbourne on October 31. Cycle 2400 miles in the middle over 5 weeks ( a few days over 100 miles). Will need to pitch a tent. Cost is modest.

I've been looking at a company called www.cyclevents.com. They look like they offer some pretty good tours. However, since I haven't compared prices, I couldn't tell you if they are a good deal or not.
