I ordered a S/M yellow Lightning Bicycle Dynamics
Thunderbolt 7speed, the cheapie model, from
Bikes@Vienna Saturday.
I intend to install my Sugino XD tandem crankset with TA
24/35/51 rings and an R443 derailer, the Alivio 7 speed
integrated v-brakes, a 34/28/23/19/16/13/11 cassette, a
lockout for 51/34, 51/28, 35/28, 35/11, 24/13, and 24/11,
and an Ametek servo motor with a 6V regulator operating as a
generator driving a 7.2 W Nite Rider headlight and their 1W
taillight, and to get some exercise, and to hit Difficult
Run Stream Valley Beach. No batteries will be on board.
The bag, the tires, the fenders, and that little braze on
problem are just frosting.
The motor mount will be made from channel steel, short leg,
like a question mark, and the motor clamped inside. The leg
of the question mark, which is actually going to be tangent
to the circle, will be fastened to the frame behind the
seat. I have a hub ready to accept a Big Cheese that's
almost finished. I can use like a 32-62 tooth chain wheel in
back to adapt the motor
V/rpm to the terrain and rider.
