i'm curious to see what the opinions are on frames - an Easton Ultra light (e.g. BMC) or a Giant Composite (e.g. TCR Alliance).

BMC is a bike company, hence their frame is a BMC, Easton builds quality stuff like wheels, forks, stems, etc same for Giant, Giant has a more diverse catalogue, BMC is mostly top of the line,
