Operation Puerto is expanding it's investigation into dope cartels and
networks that are all interlinked. These newly discovered networks are in
Germany, Italy, and California. T-patches freely used and shared during
Ragbrai, EPO boosters sold under the counter at your local bike shop, master
fatties injecting with parking lots littered with used needles before races.
This has spread from the elite Tour de France competitors, to your local
charity ride. Cycling must acknowledge that it has become corrupt to it's
roots. The cancer must be excised, starting with Landis, and working down
to the participants on your local weekend ride. Confront anyone who does a
10 mile pull at the front, get him or her to admit that they are using
performance enhancing drugs and then try to get them to reform their ways.
If cycling is to become clean and pure again, everyone must begin by just
saying no.
