I have to ask why it makes any person less of a man to question the validity
of ones background? If this were true then the entire world is less of a
man because we question those that serve in our governments, many of our
sport heros, our parents and our friends.
Unfortunately selective memory seems to haunt many of those that want to
stand by their man. Please remember that a certain yellow jersey winner has
stated that during certain therapy for cancer that EPO was administered.
EPO/Procrit is a normal drug administered to all those receiving chemo and
radiation therapy due to the negative affects on bone marrow. While he has
never failed a drug test, there are many others out there that have never
failed either. On the American side of the pond, the level of testing is
non-existant. A very small portion of atheletes are ever tested, and there
are only specific events that see any testing at all. There have been many
admitals of wrong doing where no positive test ever was a result. I wonder
how long Moninger competed before his first positive? How about Shuan
Wallace?
