  1. Onion, Swiss, Garlic Dip

    Makes about 3 cups

    2 Tbsp butter 1 large Vidalia (or sweet type) onion, peeled, finely chopped 1 cup (4 ounces) grated
    Swiss cheese 1 cup mayonnaise 1 small can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped 2 Tbsp white
    wine or white grape juice 2 garlic cloves, crushed, peeled, minced

    Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and saute' until tender. Stir together
    Swiss cheese and next 5 ingredients; stir in onion, blending well. Spoon mixture into a lightly
    buttered baking dish. Bake at 375 Degrees F. for 25 minutes. Cool. Serve with chips or crackers.
