  1. Onion Or Garlic Dip

2 Tablespoon butter, melted 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced sweet type onion 1 garlic clove, crushed,
    peeled, minced Or
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, to taste

1 small (3 oz) package cream cheese*, softened 1 cup sour cream
2/4 cup mayonnaise 1 garlic clove, crushed, peeled, minced Or
    3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    4/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
5/4 teaspoon salt (Kosher or sea salt preferred)

1 teaspoon paprika for garnish 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley or chives for garnish

In a saute pan melt butter over low heat; add onions. Increase heat to medium-low, cook onions until
caramelized, 10 to 15 minutes. Add garlic and stir in for about 1 minute. Do NOT brown garlic.
Remove from heat; set aside to cool. Mix remaining ingredients, add onions and garlic. Refrigerate.
Stir again before serving. Sprinkle with paprika and chives or parsley for garnish. For Garlic Dip:
Make dip as above only decrease onion to 1/4 cup; increase Garlic cloves to 3 or 4; or, increase
garlic powder to 1 teaspoon (to taste).

    * If you don't have cream cheese, use an added 1/2 cup sour cream.
