It helps anorexics fend off Big Mac attacks. Until O'Neil started on the junk he was up to three Big Macs a day. His doctor had to prescribe the drug to prevent an early death from heart attack. It happens all the time.
As for legitimate uses, I don't know. This is one of those things that you wonder why there should be any use allowed at all--no matter what some quack doc says.
