They could bring in some other commentors like Bernard Hinault or Miguel Indurain and give them a chance to talk about the progress of the race and what they think will happen in the race. It's always nice to read/hear expert commentary on the race that might not always exactly coincide with the views of Phil and Paul
It wouldn't cost them anything, I'll bet, because most of the older racers probably would welcome the chance to talk a little
