  1. Hey all,

I'm looking to buy a bike, but I'm not sure which bike or how many to buy. I want a bike that I can go long distance riding with, and I want to be able to carry side packs, and maybe a trailer. But I also want a bike that I can use to go fast, and for everyday long rides, like a road bike. So, do I need two bikes, or can I just use one and change the wheels or tyres?? I'm not really sure what to do, this is a bit of a conumdrum for me.

    Please help.

    Thanks

Buy one and change the wheels...

Mine will take 32mm tires plus fender or rack. Most of the time I ride it with 23mm tires for the fast riding. =)

But then, for me, that option was a $50 upcharge on a custom frame. It makes sense for me. You should be able to find a cyclocross bike with similar capabilities.
