  1. I have heard that the state of a fat outside the body is the
    same state it will become inside the body; therefore oils
    (such as olive oil) will pass through the body, unabsorbed.
    Is this true, or some sort of urban legend?

    If you don't normally eat much fat, then a huge intake of it
    will result in a goodly portion going straight through until
    your body accommodates and you absorb it all.
