  1. German Potato-Ground Beef Patties

This recipe is a simple recipe from Germany that poor
    immigrants brought to this country.

1 medium Potato, grated 1 lb. Ground Beef Salt and Pepper to
Taste 1 medium Onion, minced 1 Egg 2 Tbsp. dried Bread
    Crumbs Flour Shortening

Mix potato, beef, salt, pepper, onion, egg and bread
crumbs together. Shape into 4 patties. Dip patties in
loose flour you seasoned with a little salt and pepper.
Heat shortening in skillet, not too much, about 2 Tbsp. to
start. Add patties to hot shortening and fry over medium
heat until when poked with fork and pressed down on, no
pinkness flows out of meat. It usually takes about 10
minutes on each side with skillet covered. Eat with brown
    spicy grainy mustard. Serves 4
