Hey all!
Well, it took me a few weeks, but we finally got my new ISP set
up -- DSL can be a pain in the butt when you have an old modem.
So I'm able to do the Usenet thingy again, and I noticed we
have another "Jani" in the froup. The heck with it, I'm going
back to being "JJ", even if people do mistake me for a man on
occasion. :-)
Hope everyone enjoyed the Superbowl, even though the Seahawks
were robbed. We (DH, DS, and myself) went to the Sibling's
place to watch the game and I took a couple of cheesecakes.
One had a ribbon of hot fudge and tasted divine, but I found
that you really shouldn't try to get it out of the springform
pan while it's still warm -- it was pretty ugly and I didn't
take any photos. I did take one of the other, plain cheesecake,
which I had decorated with the Hawks' colors:

That's Buddy (DS) holding the cake -- I used my camera phone to
take the picture and it's not a great image, but damn did it taste
good, probably my best yet! I used a 7" pan instead of my usual
9", and I like it a lot better. I'm even thinking of entering one
in our county fair this year (Barb inspires me). I've posted this
recipe so many times that I'll just include a Google link for anyone who
