  1. Hello forum.I have two very nice old steel lugged frames that I am converting to 700c for tire reasons.27 1/4 just dosen't seem to be what it used to be.....Any insight regarding mounting newer style, allen, as opposed to nutted brakes on older frames?Regarding the front, I know about drilling the back of the fork, and am ok with that.Rear is the question, and complicating one of the situations is a very nice rack, light and perfect for the bike that mounts to the brake bolt.New reach with the 700 rims is 60ish,and the Tektro silver sidepulls seem perfect @55-73mm.Any Ideas?Thanx, tomas

  2. I got some 48-63 from: http://www.alhonga.com.tw/set-01.htm for about $20 from my LBS.

Also, Duro 27x1&1/8 seem to be ok on the bike.
