I have an 8 year old Goretex jacket that is due its 1st was and reproofing. Having scanned back through old postings, the recommended products seem to be the Nikwax TX products, although there were comments which implied that the age of the fabric affected the best treatment. Is that the case, and if so, will I still be alright using the Nikwax products?
I also saw a comment about removing all traces of biological washing powder from the machine before doing this. Presumably the key thing here is getting rid of other detergents rather than whether they are biological or not?
