  1. Just started training again. To realise an old chest injury in the
upper part of my right chest is still being aggrevated by lifting
    weights.

Have been to the physio about this before in the past, who used the
electro stimulation etc. on it and told me to go back into weights
very slowly after laying off for a while until it stopped hurting.

This was a few years back and has been a constant problem since when i
try and get back into exercise. The bench press, flyes, dumbell
pulover etc. all aggrivate it so it's not a simple question of
changing exercies and leaving some out.

I've been reading a bit on the web which has said about apply ice to
the area, and considering what the physio said that i remember will
leave it a while as well til it stops hurting then go back at light
    weights and slowly build up.

Just seeking any other advice that may be of help, i'm sure some of
you must have had similar problems and was wonder what the best way
forward and to progress is. TIA

  2. [censored] dude. Whatever you do don't listen to the doc...is he a weight
lifter? Listen to your own body and other lifters they will know what
    to do.

Hell, don't do any chest for a while, what do you care? Become a
    freakin animal
and do Triceps and Legs on chest day. Massive triceps will help when
    you start doing chest again.

Thanks for the reply, apart from laying off exercising the area, is
there anything positive that i can do to help assist the areas
    recovery that you can advise?

How about getting a second opinion on your diagnosis?

  5. What about simple pushups? Maybe keep your routine the same for all
body parts, and for chest just do 20 pushups on chest day. or how about
    this,
keep your routine the same and start doing light LIGHT incline dumbell
pressing, I'm talking like 15 pounds for as many reps as you can do.
    I've
seen other guys do this, the thinking is, if I can't hit the heavy
weight and make it grow, i'll go super light and tighten up the muscle,
bring out the definition. Just think about Arnold when you have to use
the light weights, he did this all the time pre contest, light weights,
    high reps.

I hope it works out for you.
