Odd commentary by McEwen?

I saw that and got confused too. I was looking at a guy with a Lotto jersey
forgetting that McEwen has on Aussie stripes. In another view you can see
him getting up from the ground around that same spot.

So the "or what" explanation is that you were also looking at the wrong
guy. And as Phil was wrapping up the show he said McEwen didn't go down so
he made the same mistake.

Figured. I know I've heard in the past that there are times when riders
will 'pretend' they got involved in a crash near the finish line, for some
reason, maybe to assure they get the same time as the peloton. In fact I
think it was an Armstrong to Hincapie comment, can't recall - but maybe
that was prior to the 1km rule...)

At the same moment McEwen went down, a phonak rider made it through on the
left. In the telephoto camera view, the kit looked similar. I had to do a
double-take, too, to catch Robbie going down in the pile.
