Oclv 55???? Holy Cow!!!

  1. I just saw on Lance Chronicles that he is riding a custom Madone SSL made of OCLV 55!!! All thing being constand, wouldn't that mean the frame he is riding is about 1/2 the weight of last year's Madone he rode?!! If so, doesn't that put his current frameset at about the 1.5 pound mark?? OMG!!!!!!!!

    I don't know what the actual weight is, but they said it was sub 2.0 lbs. They were weighing it to make sure it was legal, not too light. They have some new climbing wheels also which are super light.

  3. This material is described in the Lance Chronicles, a series on OLNTV in the US. It's a lot lighter than prior materials. Bruyneel is show in the same episode indicating there is a minimum weight for bikes, that, if not met, results in disqualification. He also notes that LA's bike is sure to be checked.
