Anybody know where to find a Shimano TL-PD-63 or TL-PD-73 tool needed to adjust and tighten the recessed cone and locknut on SPD M535 pedals? The Park pages make reference to it, but it's not in (for example) Sheldon's QBP catalog mirror. It's a sort of double socket gizmo that allows you to tighten the 7mm locknut while holding the 10mm cone in place (the whole mess is recessed so unlike 525's you can't use flat wrenches) If the tool is as unavailable as it seems, any ideas on how to fake it?

I fit the cone very slightly loose with a dab of threadlock, then add a thin greased washer, then tighten the locknut down firmly. It can take a bit of trial and error to get the bearing preload correct.

It's very hard to fake since the sockets must be very thin-walled to fit into each other. I have one of these for the pedal maintenance of 30 Spinning bikes. For private use it's rather costly: EUR 30! You could almost buy a new set of pedals for that money. Although personally I hate to throw away good stuff that can be repaired.
