  1. I need to escape and decompress from all this Police Academy cr@p for a day or two, and I am in
_desperate_ need of some decent trails.

Based upon MTBR I've decided to try for Oak Mountain State Park.

Anybody care to hook up there for social/ride.

    Those familiar w/ the area:

What would be the better set-up on the SS?
32:17 or 32:18 (how many long climbs?) WTB motoraptors <or> IRC Serrac XC's (what's the mud like?)

Post ride refreshments: Mendocino, Red Tail Ale <or> Blue Moon, Belgian White?

Is there suitable riding for roadie fetish as well as MTB?

    Good choice!

I am in Pensacola, so it's a haul from here. But check out bump.org, they are a fairly
    active bunch...

That question is beyond my area of expertise. If you go up the fire road, there are 2 tough climbs.
If you go up the bump and grind (opposite direction) there is only 1 tough climb, but longer. Other
than those I just mentioned, the 32:17 should do fine.

Mud not too bad. If it is dry semislicks will do.

    All of the above.

Excellent road riding at Oak Mountain as well. I always see lots of roadies every time I
    ride up there.
