I had the great pleasure and very high honor of being in the hospital for several weeks with undiagnosed pneumonia. After all the fun surgery, etc. they gave me a nutrition drink to get more protein in me. They used 'Boost' and the ingredients are like slimfast, mostly sugar. These drinks can be used in a weight loss program, etc. However, I noticed that the engineered nutrition drinks like met-rx, or myoplex, etc. say 'not to be used for weight loss'. I assume it is on their because of some government/legal stuff.
Why does the government/fda consider drinks that have [censored], ie sugar in them, to be good but the engineered drinks have to have a bunch of disclaimers?
