warm .. 😉

I'm in Nottingham and I've never heard of the misk hills.

the closest google can get me is annesley, about 5 miles away, which has me more intrigued. I'm
always looking for new places to cycle so any chance of elaborating ?

Not far away ..

It's basically the block of forestry commission land between Annesley and Hucknall, bounded by the
motorway. Goes as far as Brinsley and Moorgreen Reservoir, towards Eastwood, and through the old
clay pits (by the chimneys near Rolls Royce). We get there from Eastwood, (Moorgreen) along New
Road, and follow the signs .. 😉 Or head out of Hucknall towards the motorway, on the left hand side
there's a stables, roughly at the Newstead village turning (to the right). Loads of easy to hard
core mountain biking paths lead into, through around and all over the forestry areas. Some bits
really easy riding, but there's also singletrack trails, jump spots, 'play bowls' all over the
place, if you look fo rthem .. 😉 Doesn't look it on the map, but there's miles and miles of
variable off-road riding. No massive mountains, mainly pleasant stuff unless you go off-track a
little ways and find the local play areas .. 😉

There's also quite a few benches at the side of many of the paths. Often doesn't look it as you
cycle past, but it's worth stopping at some of them for really nice views across the odd small
valley etc .. 😉
