Our town has a gardening business with a Rhodes Car they use for hauling lawnmowers, trimmers, hoes,
rakes, shovels, etc. Admirable! So speed is not a factor for all people.

A fairly widespeed bump was put in years ago nearby, and the first time I hit it I was doing about
24 mph on a Thebis trike. It left the ground and landed hard and shaky. I haven't done that since!

120lbs 2 seat quad, all my personal records are how many kids I can carry. 🙂 My new record is 7

It's great to hear that you're having so much fun with that Rhoadescar:-) Just be careful that none
of those kids get hurt. An angry parent may try to sue you or something. All that being said,
continue to have a great time with your young neighbors on the Rhoadescar.

I was wondering if you have used the Rhoadescar as personal transportation on any ocassion. I'm
certain this application may interest some folks here including me. Just recently, I got rid of my
motor vehicle and now commute to work by bike. While my Scooterbike is a great commuter, I am
seriously thinking about getting a multi track vehicle because of the stability. I am thinking
somewhere along the lines of a delta trike like the EZ-3 or a quad ala Rhoadescar; preferably the
single passenger model.

So if you've had any experience commuting or errand running on your quad, please let us know
how it does.

I don't own a car right now either. Being able to haul plenty of stuff is why I started looking
at the big delta trikes and the quads. I can carry groceries and other things quite nicely. I
put a cooler on the back of my cycle, it doesn't weigh much and is nice for groceries and
picnics. My particular quad is very squared off with 2" tubes, so it invites modification. I
might put a 2'x4' flatbed in back instead of my basket and cooler. I like the room to change my
mind. On a bike you have so few choices. I like my 2 person bike since people can hop on with
me, but a 1 seater would be lighter and faster. I also liked the Lightfoot Cycle big trikes.
They have plenty of cargo space and are faster, but more expensive. If you buy a RhodesCar I
would recommend the mag wheels. I bought one as a replacement and it is much better than the
spoked style. I will replace the other 3 later. I know you have been following the treads about
the quads and big trikes since you can't test drive one of these babies in every town. I am
sure you will like them. I don't go fast, but I have been just fine out on the roads. I am very
easy to see out there and most people wave and talk to me at stop lights. I have a triangle on
the back basket and plenty of reflectors. I am even collecting license plates and hanging them
from the bumpers. They are big and reflective so they work great. Russell
