I have been doing Atkins for about 4 1/2 weeks now. ( I did cheat for
Thanksgiving, but got right back on) My problem is, I can't lose!!! I
think I have lost 1 stinkin lousy pound. I did induction and that's
when I lost the 1 pound. Here's my story.. I have never had a
weight problem. I had my 3rd baby in March of this year and gained a
total of 82 pounds with him. I topped the scales at 218 on delivery
day and I'm down to 151. That's a total of 67 pounds in 8 months. My
pre-pregnancy weight was 141. I lost the 67 pounds in 3 months. Now,
these last ten pounds will not budge. I've tried working out to speed
up the process but it is not working. I follow induction strictly
until TOM comes around and then I'll have a little sugar alcohol. I
can't figure out what is wrong here. I am doing everything right. ( I
think) I take my supplements. The only thing that I fail at is
getting the water in! But I try!

Take my words for it. You are a loser.

( I did cheat for Thanksgiving, but got right back on)That's nonsense. Thankgiving was months ago.

You lost 67 pounds in 3 months and you're complaining
about not losing. Totally unrealistic.Quoted message said:

Per Dr A the expected time to lose the last 1o is a
year. Your current year is spot on for that expectation.
Therefore nothing is wrong.Quoted message said:

something different.Quoted message said:

Bingo. The level of 20 will trigger stalls in plenty of
people who don't have a lot to lose. A stall is no new
low for 4+ weeks and you're only 2.5 weeks since the
last new low, so you aren't stalled yet. Keep what
you are doing for 1.5 more weeks then you'll be stalled.Or... You could consider following the directions.
Induction is 14 days so move on. I know, you don't want
to increase carbs because you don't beleive that four
decades of effort on the part of Dr A developing a 4
phase system could possibly actually work. You want
something radical therefore you want to do something
radical. Break out of that mindset and move on to
OWL.Quoted message said:

You don't believe that the entire system can work so you
are not considering the entire system. Phase 2. Today.Quoted message said:

Nope. Look in the list of qualifications after the
statement that you're allowed to stay at 20. In the
list is it's still working.Step out in faith!
1) Follow the directions and move on to phase 2.
2) Understand that the last 10 ae supposed to drop one
per month and it may take reducing calories some.
3) Understand that if you remain on Induction, how are
you ever going to transition to Maintenance.
