  1. it is working better. Prior to doing a bit of easy riding today I installed an air "conversion" kit for my '03 Marz Z1 FR I've had for almost a year and just never got around to installing prior to today. No clue why today, just because I guess. It was very easy to do (with the kind help of an email from Marz tech folks a few weeks ago) and didn't take more than a half hour. The coil preload is gone from the right leg of course, but now that job is done via the air pressure. It took more time to figure out what pressure to have than it did to install the kit (55psi and a little coil preload on the left leg @ 250lbs).

My biggest praise for the fork post-conversion: much, much less brake dive. There seemed to be just a bit less small bump compliance, but it was only noticed when I was really focused on the fork and not on riding. Overall, it was a good thing to have done I think. Cheap ($34 for both pieces), easy (25-30 minutes) and eliminated my only complaint about the product (brake dive). Plus tinkering time in the garage is good therapy...

    Kraig...
