  1. I had a sever nose bleed a month ago (first time in my life). I had to go to hospital for three days
as it would not stop, the doctor cauterised it bit it was still bleeding a little at the back which
was inaccessible. After three days I was fine and went back to work, but it recurred 12 days later -
3 more days in hospital. I have not had a bleed for 2 weeks and am wondering if the nightmare is
over. I felt very weak and dizzy until two days ago, which has also gone. I wondered if anyone has
had a similar experience. Can I expect a recurrence? Can I go to the gym, have a glass of wine? (all
of which I have stopped on medical advice, while I was experiencing the bleeds).

  2. Hi,

I don't know if you're taking any vitamins, but you may
consider taking supplements to strengthen your capillaries.

Dizziness may be likely due to blood-loss, and eating some
iron-rich foods or supplements will help you to sort that
out too - if you happen to feel dizzy again.

You may also consider using self-hypnosis to stop any
further nose-bleeding in the future, as well as to
    strengthen your capillaries.

It was a good idea to reduce active exertion while you were
bleeding - also alcohol, coffee and any other stimulants
would have made your bleed more. If you're not bleeding any
more and you have no other health problems, you can resume
your normal activities moderately at first and if you're
having no more problems with nose-bleeding, return to your
    normal schedule.

    Best wishes
