NOOB ALERT

Hi this is my first post luv the forum guys :)

Right... Im currently have a 13-28 cassette (ive only just learnt what that means and i had to count the bobbly bits to find out).

and ive just had my bike changed a bit, rigid front fork, sliker tyres instead of block tread, and its a hell of a lot faster.

im now constantly finding the 13-28 cassette doesnt have a hard enough gear and was wondering if i had a Shimano HG30 Cassette 11-28 7 Speed fitted instead how big the change would be between having 11 "bobbly bits" on the smallest cog instead of 13.

A fairly versatile gear calculator can be found at:
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gears/
to give you a reasonable start on comparison by different means.

One of the first factors of consideration is what type of crankset (double/triple), what size wheels (700c,650, etc.) and what size chainrings you are running (53/39, 52/42, 44/32/22 etc.) on the front?

worked it out now it shud improve my speed at the same peddling rpm by 18.4%
