Hi all, I have a noisy rear hub on my Giant MTB.
When I free pedal backwards, it sounds rough and noisy.
My question is, my mates bike has a silent free spinning rear hub.
You know when you stop peddaling, you can hear like a ratchet sound as your
free spinning.
I want one like my mates, it is dead silent when he pedals backwards, or
just free spinning.
Are these more expensive ?

Shimano LX has a silent rear hub. You can buy a rear wheel based on one
of those hubs. Price will vary due to spokes, rim, and build cost.
