  1. More proof that lowracer recumbents are faster than highracer recumbents at ultra events.
Bacchetta and Reynolds Weld Lab recumbents will never be this fast at an ultra race.

I looked at the trip computer and realized that not only was I going to SMASH the race record but also finish in under 12hrs if I worked just a bit harder, the final laps were some of the fastest all day and the last lap was the third fastest.
I finished first in 11hrs and 57mins.. A GREAT DAY..

  2. Did anyone enter a "highracer"? Or a Reynolds? (Or a ZOX 26 Z-Frame
    ;-)

21 mph average is pretty decent for a 12 hour event, but I know of at
least one local rider who could beat that on a standard bike.

I am happy for the NoCom company and the rider. Good effort, great
results. BUT degrading other bikes doesn't win the day.

Also, this must be a definition of 'proof' that I was previously
    unaware of.

  3. Mike,
Like Johnny say a NoCom is the fast bike in all universe. No listen to BikingBill. No rider on UCI wrong style bike will ride a 400 km brevet less than 12 hour in future date soon.

Aussie that set 400 km course record on NoCom is faster than all UMCA recumbent rider in the USA who race 12 hour.

Hats off to Aussie and NoCom.
