    I did not find an aswer to this via the search function, so...

    I'm using a PT SL for 9 months now, no issues except speed/distance data dropping out when coasting or going downhill. Currently the computer does not seem to be picking up the heart rate monitor (power and cadence are fine). I changed the HR strap battery...no help. My polar watch picks up the signal from the strap, so it's not the strap. Any thoughts? Ben

    My PT pro did that also. Turned out to be the receiver which is mounted in the yellow computer part. I called them up and they promptly sent me a new one and it is all fixed now.

    The PT HR receiver (inside the yellow computer, as flapsupcleanup said) is a known weakness of the PT system. Customer support will send you a new computer upon request.
