  1. Got back from Lapland on Sunday was looking forward to a ride on January
1st. Too much snow, roads are covered in slush. :-(

Yeah, bugger. I'd intended to 'christen' the newly acquired Galaxy.

    Happy New Year.

I've been a bit luckier, a lot of the snow has thawed but some slushy stuff. It was good to get out
for a while - but I'll be washing the [censored] of my cold weather gear while next Christmas!

I dug the studded tyres out bu thave yet to get around to fitting them. Reckon that the roads should
be celar enough to burn off todays turkey tomorrow.

New years eve was very snowy, about three inches in as many hours so I went skiing along the
    high street...

Our annual new year ride was in the freezing pouring rain and with only one very expensive
posh 'cafe' open to get a warming coffee (nearly £2 a cup!!). Still helps to make you feel
alive, appreciate the sunny rides more and we could console ourselves that it could only get
    better in 2004.
