    I'm moving out of the dorms and into an apartment about 3 miles from campus. Its varying hills, with one rather large one.

    I decided that I want a bike to ride. I have an 6 year old mountain bike from a big box store, but want something thats a lot easier and more fun to ride.

    I have a tight budget, ideally less than $400--but that could vary.

    I like the look of older ten speeds, but want something a lot lighters--my apartment is on the 4th floor and theres no elevator.

    I really have no clue what I want, and help and suggestions would be wonderful!
