  1. It's been just over a week since I fell and bust my lip open, but it's
almost completely healed already. Thanks for all the good wishes. I've
had an enjoyable but unremarkable running week. I stayed with my aunt in
the North East of England for a family wedding, and went running in a
park near her house. It wasn't spectacular but I enjoyed running in a
different place. The change of season is getting more noticeable here.
It's much cooler out, and I've bough a long sleeved tshirt to run in,
and a showerproof jacket although I haven't had to use it yet. My feet
are crunching on fallen beech nuts and hazelnuts on the ground, and
although the leaves aren't falling yet they are starting to change
colour. I saw (and heard) a flock of migrating geese during my run on
    Wednesday.

Saturday: 30 minutes in a park in Sunderland. Change of venue was nice.
    Sunday: 45 minutes
    Monday: 20 minutes
Tuesday: 20 minutes with pickups. Exhilarating.
Wednesday: 20 minutes. Saw geese flying South.
    Thursday: 45 minutes
    Friday: dnr

Drat! I always miss the fun.

Oh bother! Septicaemia can be soooooo much fun.

    That's strange. I don't recall offering any.

Even stranger. I've had a remarkably unpleasant non-running week.

Translation: Mel has noticed that - in the northern hemisphere - it get
colder when you travel north. Good spot, Mel.

Than indoors? Hell, you've outsmarted me again! Easy, isn't it?

Waiting for a shower? Don't worry, there'll be one along soon.

You know, that sort of behaviour is far from ecologically sound, for reasons
with which I won't bore you. Could I simply ask you to stop? Or at
least to dance around the little devils with a modicum of care.

We call it Autumn, Mel. Happens this time every year. Say it after me.

You assume they were migrating. In which direction were they flying?
They could simply have been doing a bit of shopping at Tesco's

Oh, they were flying south. They WERE going to Tesco's.
