Hi, been doing weights for a month now, have increased my strength and all appears to be going well. Am using the bill pearl programme.
Have a couple of questions:
1. Changing from Flat Barbell Bench Press to Flat Dumbell Flyes, is there a way to workout the weight I should use for the dumbell flyes - Like 10% of what I lift on the Flat Barbell Bench Press. Hence:
Flat Barbell Bench Press 40kg total weight of bar so Flat dumbell Flyes at 10% for each arm would be 4kg. Any logical method like this if only to get an approximation of a good starting weight? Thanks.
2. I hate tuna, so can somebody recommend a decent tuna shake recipie? Thanks.
why are u changing from bench press to to flys. Why dont you change to dumbell press instead. You will still gain strength. Remember barbell press is a compound movement and great for bringing lots of muscle into play and great for building strength the same as dumbell press. Flys are isolation movements and dont bring lots of muscles into play. see www.exrx.net great info source "jeff" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I hate it when no one answers a legit question, so I'll try:
1) I don't think so. Try different weights and find out what works for you. The only other advice I can give is to watch your form. Many people use too much weight and then do db presses instead of flyes.
2) I think by definition, for someone who dislikes Tuna, there is no such thing as "a decent tuna shake recipe" "newbie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...
