I'm a newbie here with a question.
I was offered a free neck and arm massage at work two days ago which I gladly took advantage of. I
felt really good immediately after and was advised to drink a couple of glasses of water. I drink
a reasonable
amount

massage still revealed a few knots in various spots.
Anyway later on that night I noticed that my upper arms and the area
around

that
Quoted message said:was trying to work it's way out and had moved into that area. The next
day
Quoted message said:this was gone but I noticed a heaviness in my lower legs and my right jaw was aching at the joint.
The leg heaviness is gone but the jaw is still aching.
Could all this be caused by the massage and things being released in my
body

seems weird to me.
I'll be interested to see what response you get from the more "seasoned" pros here. Being in your
shoes, I'd likely relate the onset of those symptoms to the massage due to the timing. But is it
possible that you have some other circulatory or neurological issues that need to be checked out?
The areas you mentioned all have major blood vessels flowing thru them. Renal arteries, Jugular,
pulmonary, etc. Although I also believe in energy releases as well. But I guess if it were me, I'd
make sure my general physical condition checked out, (as in a complete physical), before I pursued
any more massage. Especially of a deep nature. Err on the side of caution. Though it is a good thing
your symptoms are lessening. But from what I've learned thus far on my journey in MT, I haven't come
across referral points to the kidneys from the upper arms. This is a curious thing for me. I'll wait
and watch and learn something new right along with you as more posts come in. :-)
All of this is, of course, IMHO.
