So I'm new to cycling so bear with me please as I try to explain my bike problem!
So every time I pedal downward with my right foot, I hear a "clicking" noise. I thought it might be the chain hitting the front derailleur, but do not think it is that. I just can't seem to pinpoint where this "clicking" noise is coming from. It happens in every gear I switch to. I ride a Cannondale CAAD9 with Shimano 105's. Are some slight mechanical sounds normal when pedaling? Or should your bike sound pretty silent and smooth for the most part? Is it likely that the chain is hitting the front derailleur? HELP! I WANNA GET BACK OUT AND RIDE!!!!!! (Yes, I'm already addicted after a month!
Common culprits for noises like that are the bottom bracket, the crank arm interface and issues with the pedal/cleat interface. Take it into your LBS and have them look at it, quality bikes shouldn't make noises like that and they should be able to pinpoint the noise and get rid of it.

Since it's making noise while you're pedaling with your right foot, the foot itself may be hitting something.
I had a clicking noise when I got a new bike, and when I looked down my foot was hitting the front derailleur cable because it was sticking out a little bit...heh
