Hello.....in 1987 I bought a brand new 753 Eddy Merckx and spent a fortune (according to my wife). I rode it for years and one day stopped riding it and put it in the attic. Last year I took it down, brought it to my local bike shop and brought it back to life. After putting on 5,000 miles in the past year, the love is back. MY QUESTION....and keep in mind my reference point is really old, what you you purchase in the way of a new bike? Budget is around $5K....I ride a 56. Thanks all
