Im lookign at a mountain bike and i want to know a good price to offer. Im new to this forums thing so be nice if this is in the wrong forum.
Its a Giant VT two and its about a year old, but w/o warranty. He says he rode it about 2 dozen times, and it looks in real good shape. Im wondering what kind of cash would be a reasonable offer, like what kind of price could i buy a usded one at a shop at? thanks
If it's an '03 or '04 model they retail new for $1600 at the high end but you can usually find one around $1200. There is about a $1000+ step between the VT1 & 2. If it's in pristine condition I'd offer $600 to start but I'd stop at $1000. Have components it been upgraded? Can you see the bike in person or is it online?

its a good firend. its a VT 2 but toally stock. looks brand new. so you say 600-1000?
