  1. Gotta love those newbie gains. Here's my two-week update (as if anyone gives
    two [censored]):

    Squats ............... +16%...........1RM (est) : 168 to 196
    Bench .................+21%..........1RM (est) : 127 to 146
    Deadlist ..............+18%..........1RM (est) : 197 to 228
    Bent-over row ....+10%..........1RM (est) : 123 to 132

Granted, it's still a *long* way from the goals I've set, but it's a start.
I've been working at around 80% intensity, bumping up 5% on a lift if I can
do eight reps. And here I thought a 1 1/4 pound plate was useless. ;-)

My goals are 1RM at 1.5x bodyweight squat, bodyweight bench, and a 2x
bodyweight deadlift. At my current fat weight, that'd be 345, 230, and 460.
With good fortune (and watching my diet a hell of a lot closer than I have
been) those numbers will move down as my lift numbers move up.

Am I totally kidding myself that I might get anywhere /near/ this by year's
    end?

You'll get there if you drop weight sanely while you're at it.
