While I've been riding clinchers for a long time, I just bought a bike that has Nucleon tubular wheels (never used them in the past) that need new tires. I decided to try the Tufo tape with Conti Sprinters. I got the tires on, but they're not perfectly centered.....there's a little more of the tire base tape (maybe 1/8" on one side, 3/8" on the other) showing in a section...not thoughout. I've tried cajoling the tire over with minor success, but it's still not perfect. How compulsive do I need to be about this?
