Great forum you have here best one i have seen so far.Been kicking around the idea of getting a road bike really soon.Been riding mountain bikes for lot's of years,back cant take it any longer.Plus with the cost of gas closest trail is 80 miles one way just time for a change.Looking between the trek 1000 and 1500 test rode a 1000 saturday rode really nice just wondering if i should go with the 1500 to start with ? Chances are other than clipless pedals i see no need to change anything on the 1500 however the 1000 could see some upgrades in the future.Just wondering what you all think,I know the 1500 has a better frame and wheelset and drivetrain and better overall deal.Guess my main question is the 1000 worth upgrading a lil at a time or just bite the bullet and get the 1500.Thanks for any help look foward to hanging out here quite a bit.
